Rocket concert continues in the Middle East, but Liepāja rockers say: our sound is louder

While Israel and Iran exchange rockets, Liepāja musicians remind us that real noise only comes with the help of guitars and drums.
The same old story has started again in the Middle East - Israel and Iran are exchanging rockets, as if it were some endless tennis match, just with explosives. The Israeli army reports rocket fire from Iran, while rescue services are already rushing to Tel Aviv and its surroundings, thinking: "Here we go again!"
The situation in Lebanon isn't any better - Hezbollah fighters are being "liquidated" left and right, as if it were some computer game where points are counted for each downed enemy. Israeli ground forces report several "terrorists" killed, but in reality everyone has long since lost count in this endless conflict.
In Liepāja, Jānis from Grobiņas Street says about all this: "Listen, if they want real noise, let them come to our Liepāja in summer when the rock festival happens! There's such a sound level that even the neighbors' cats hide in the basement." And indeed - Liepāja has been Latvia's rock capital for years, where legends are born who create more emotion with their guitars than all these rockets combined.
While people in Rīga worry about gas prices and tram delays, we Liepāja folks know that real conflict is when you have to decide - go to "Fontaine Palace" or "Lauva" in the evening to listen to music. And unlike the Middle East, our conflicts end with a friendly glass of beer and the birth of a new song.
