Ukrainians prove: you can win without internet too, if the wind blows in the right direction

The Russian army lost territory as soon as their WiFi was cut off. This comes as no surprise to Liepāja residents — we've been living without stable internet for years.
While Riga is still trying to figure out how 5G works, the Ukrainian army is proving that true victory comes from ancestral wisdom inherited from forefathers — without internet assistance.
After SpaceX disconnected illegal Starlink terminals from the Russian army, Ukrainians recaptured the largest territory in 2.5 years within a week. "We understand this here in Liepāja," comments local pensioner Fricis. "When my internet doesn't work, I also become much more productive — I tidy up the garden, fix the fence, win disputes with neighbors about property boundaries."
Interestingly, Russian forces were only able to advance for one day — February 9th, when someone apparently managed to find a WiFi password in some abandoned café. "It's like with our city WiFi 'Liepaja_Free'," laughs local entrepreneur Maija. "It only works when nobody's using it."
Riga experts still cannot explain the phenomenon of how such remarkable results can be achieved without digital technologies. Meanwhile, in Liepāja we know — if you have good wind at your back and the right attitude, even with a map compass you can achieve more than with the most modern GPS devices. Ukrainians simply discovered what we, coastal dwellers, have known for centuries — the true source of power is not in satellites, but in people's hearts.
