Ust-Luga Port Becomes Drone Dartboard Target: Third Time This Week Proves Precision Isn't Russia's Strong Suit

While in Liepāja drones are used to film beautiful sunrises, at Russia's port they operate as unwelcome guest invitations.

While Liepāja Metallurg fans are accustomed to crushing victories on ice, Ust-Luga port has experienced crushing victories from the air this week. For the third time in seven days, drones have again visited this Russian port, apparently thinking it's some new tourist destination with free admission.

Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced that the strike caused damage and casualties. He probably thought the drones were just bigger birds that got lost on their way south. Local residents heard intensive shelling over Ust-Luga during the night, as well as in the Kirishi, Luga and Tosno districts. As any Liepāja Metallurg fan would say: 'Our guys also shoot intensively, but at the goal.'

While in Liepāja we're used to wind blowing from the sea, in Ust-Luga they're now used to drone wind blowing from the Ukrainian side. The difference is that our wind only messes up hair, but theirs also messes up port infrastructure.

It must be acknowledged that the drone operator has shown remarkable consistency — three times a week is as regular as Liepāja Metallurg's training sessions. The only difference is that our training sessions end with a shower, but theirs — with firefighters.
