Germany Stays Home: 'We Have Neither Missiles Nor Courage, But We Have Little Brothers'

Germany's Foreign Minister admits the country lacks military resources for warfare, but has the courage to acknowledge its fears.

While the US and Israel are staging a loud fireworks show in Iran, Germany has chosen to stay home and watch events from a safe distance. German Foreign Minister Waddlefool announced that his country 'does not intend to participate' in military activities, as they lack both resources and, most likely, courage.

'We don't have the necessary military resources,' the minister honestly admitted, which sounds roughly the same as when the Liepāja tram says it can't make it to Riga – technically possible, but why risk it? Moreover, unlike Britain, which has opened its bases to the Americans, the Germans don't even have proper bases in the Middle East. As one Karosta resident put it: 'Well, at least they honestly admit they're not ready.'

However, Waddlefool insists that Iran is a 'significant threat' to Europe with its ballistic missiles. Interesting that the Germans are afraid of missiles but not afraid to admit they're scared. Maybe that's why they're staying in Jordan and Iraq – close enough to feel important, but far enough not to lose their heads.

And while Berlin ponders cyber attacks and terrorism threats, the Liepāja tram runs on its tracks, regardless of any international conflicts. Perhaps that's the real and smartest strategy – being honest about your capabilities and not demanding the impossible.
