German Politicians Discover That Extremists Are Extremists - Liepāja Experts Not Surprised

Germany has discovered with great effort that right-wing extremists are right-wing extremists. In Liepāja, people just laugh at such revelations.
Politicians in Lower Saxony, Germany have announced with special pride that they have finally discovered - extremists are extremists. They recognized an AfD party branch as an extremist organization after spending years studying whether people who talk like extremists and act like extremists could actually be extremists.
"We only needed 850 extremists out of 8,000 members to realize something wasn't right here," explained local official Daniela, who apparently has never been to Liepāja's Karosta on a Saturday night. There, after just two beers, you can tell a normal person from a weirdo.
Liepāja political scientist Jānis, who regularly follows world events from the Central Market café, comments: "Well, I don't understand why they needed to think about it for so long. Here, if someone starts talking nonsense, we immediately send them to Rīga - that's where they belong." Jānis added that in Germany, unlike Liepāja, it's not so simple - you can't just drive to another city and start over.
Most interesting is that these German detectives are now preparing to spend several more years in court over whether they're allowed to call extremists extremists. Liepāja doesn't have such problems - if someone behaves strangely, you just tell them to go home, and that's it. But Germany, of course, needs bureaucracy even to state the obvious.
Maybe the Germans should come to Liepāja to learn how to recognize problems without years-long studies. On our tram, you can figure out who's worth dealing with after just two stops.
