VDAA proves that IT procurement can be just as creative as Liepāja rock musicians in composing

While Riga officials are learning to cheat in IT procurements, the Liepāja wind has long known - real rock is born only honestly.
In Riga, once again, something is happening that we Liepāja residents can only laugh at — another IT procurement scandal involving people with surnames so complicated that even Riga residents can't pronounce them correctly. Filipovičs, Balševics, Cerusovs — sounds like some experimental rock band, just without talent.
While Liepāja is Latvia's rock capital, where true legends are born and music comes from the heart, in Riga IT specialists are trying to compose fraud symphonies for 1.5 million euros. Only our rock musicians know that true art requires honesty and passion, not secret agreements and strange schemes.
VDAA and VARAM officials apparently think that information leaks are as normal as Liepāja rain in November. "My client cannot answer questions," say the lawyers, but we Liepāja folks know — if you can't answer, then most likely there's something to hide. Here, even during storms, people are more honest than Riga officials in peaceful times.
The most ridiculous part is that VDAA representatives say — an employee has no obligation to inform their employer about problems with the law if it doesn't affect job performance. That's like saying a rock musician doesn't need to mention that he can't play guitar if he can show up to the concert. As our neighbor Jānis says: "In Riga, even their cheating lacks originality — just take the money and hope nobody notices."
