Zelensky Asks Permission Not to Bomb Oil While Liepāja's Durbe Residents Have Been Peacefully Not Attacking Fuel Prices for Years

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed a sensational secret at a press conference - it turns out that world leaders have asked him to stop bombing Russia's oil sector. This request raises the question - is it really necessary to bomb oil to deal with the energy crisis? While Riga ponders this, in Liepāja we've already solved this problem for years - we simply take the tram.

Zelensky indicated he's ready to make a compromise - if Russia doesn't attack Ukraine's energy infrastructure, then they won't respond with attacks either. This diplomatic approach reminds us of our neighbor Durbe, which prides itself on its peacefulness and has never attacked oil refineries or local fuel sellers, even though prices there aren't exactly the lowest either.

Particularly interesting is that Zelensky offered a ceasefire during the Easter period. In Riga they'd think about such an idea for at least half a year and create a commission, but in Liepāja we know - if you can be peaceful at Easter, you can be peaceful every day. That's why conflicts in our city end faster than they begin.

'We are ready for any compromises, except compromises at the expense of our dignity,' said Ukraine's president. While the world learns about compromises from Kyiv, in Liepāja we've long been masters in this field - every day we compromise with Baltic Sea winds and win.
