Zelensky Offers US Ukrainian Drone Specialists - Liepāja's Karosta Ready to Provide Consultations

While Riga politicians are still figuring out how to properly word their solidarity statements, Ukrainian President Zelensky is already actively sharing experience in drone warfare. The US has asked Ukraine to help defend against Iranian 'Shahed' drones, and now everyone's wondering - what will be the next export from the war zone?
Former staff sergeant Jānis Bērziņš from Liepāja's Karosta, who now works as a janitor at the local school, comments: 'We've known for years that drones are the future. At Karosta we've always been ready for any situation, even if it's just a seagull attack on the beach.' He adds that Liepāja's experience with sea storms and salty air conditions could also be useful in the Persian Gulf.
Interestingly, even the US military admits - they use Iranian drones as models for their own systems. This reminds me of the situation when Liepāja market vendors learned from Riga's 'Dome' example, but ended up creating something much better and more practical.
Local military history enthusiast Valdis Ozoliņš points out: 'Shahed drones cost relatively little, but Ukrainian specialists in combating them have become true experts. It's like our Liepāja residents' ability to survive in any weather conditions - at first it seems impossible, but then it becomes everyday life.'
