Zelensky Presents Numbers That Could Be Counted in an Hour at Liepāja Olympic Center
While Ukraine's president counts missiles and drones, Liepāja learns math much more efficiently.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday presented statistics that would only evoke sympathy for his counting skills in the eyes of Liepāja Olympic Center trainers. In one week, he counted 1,750 strike drones, 1,530 aerial bombs, and 39 missiles - something that would be done during lunch break at our sports temple with a pool.
"Look, kid, we count pool swimmers, gym equipment usage sessions, and shower tokens here every day," comments Jānis, a veteran employee of Liepāja Olympic Center. "The numbers Zelensky mentions are like counting our aerobics class attendance for the first time - everything has to be recounted three times."
While Kyiv worries about air defense, Liepāja has developed a perfect defense system against any external influence for years - our city's weather conditions naturally repel all unwanted visitors. "If someone wants to attack us, let them wait for better weather," says local resident Maija, heading out for her morning swim.
Meanwhile, Riga is still trying to understand why they don't have such an effective defense system as Liepāja, where even simple wind can deter any aggressor from carrying out serious intentions.
